Northamptonshire Councils, including the Borough Council of Wellingborough, Corby Borough Council, Daventry District Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering Borough Council, South Northamptonshire Council and Northampton Borough Council, work together to publish details of food hygiene inspections in an understandable way.

For the first time in the County, food hygiene inspection results are easily accessible to the public through an easy to understand star rating scheme.

With few exceptions, you can view the star rating for all food businesses within the catchment area using the search facility to the left of this page.

Heartbeat Award

The Northamptonshire Heartbeat Award is a Countywide scheme promoted and managed by Local Authority Environmental Health Departments in partnership with Northamptonshire County Council and NHS Northamptonshire. The scheme is a two tier award whereby any caterer who can demonstrate and document high standards of hygiene and a menu which provides healthy options can apply for the ‘standard’ award or the ‘gold’
